When you run large environment, with hundreds or thousands of VMs, it’s good to have a tool which helps you to find VMs when you enter different criteria. For example VMs created since last thursday…. ,VMs with the same OS installed or VMs with active snapshots… there is quite large choice for entering those searching criteria or searching options. Those queries can be saved for later use.

vOPS Server Explorer (formerly VKernel vScope Explorer) is a suite of free utilities for VM administrators. This suite is composed of two utilities:

  • vScope Explorer: Designed to assess the health of a virtualized environment, this utility immediately identifies VMs, hosts and datastores that are suffering performance, capacity and efficiency issues
  • SearchMyVM Explorer: Based on the award-winning SearchMyVM stand-alone free tool, this utility provides “Google-like” search capabilities into a virtual environment

Users can upgrade to a free trial of vOPS Server Standard to remediate issues detected by vScope Explorer, or pull additional information than that available in SearchMyVM Explorer with the click of a button.
